An emailed comment made an interesting point about the two candidate's acceptance speeches. After analyzing content, he ended up with about 50% of McCain's sentences focussed on himself, and 43% on the state of the country, policy proposals, etc. He counted 14% of Obama's sentences as being about himself and those included all sentences about his wife and Joe Biden.

Yes. Family is off limits no matter how much the candidate use them.

Anyone be interested in getting a group together for an Election Night Countdown/Celebration (fingers crossed!)

Either way the night turns out I'm thinking I'm going to need need either a shoulder to cry on or (more optimistically) others to celebrate with. (Lord knows I'm not going to sleep at all that night.)

Oh and are we still getting together this month at Tea's Me?

The thought made my stomach churn a little. I feel for the poor girl.

Is Hillary Clinton a Good Choice for Secretary of State?
Yes. She is knowledgable and has already established good relations with foreign heads of state.

No. Nothing against Hillary, but Bill is a loose canon and would be a constant distraction and/or embarrassment.
50%
Yes. We get two for one: a former President and a knowledgable Secretary of State.
0%
No. Her judgment is flawed, as demonstrated by her vote for the Iraq War.
