Narcissists? Really.

Rebecca Vasko | 03/11/2008 - 09:33

Apparently, Bill Kristol thinks the thousands of young people who support Barack Obama are “narcissists" who "think they’re the ones we’ve been waiting for.”

In Monday’s NY Times, he suggests that McCain point out to them that it’s their contemporaries serving in the armed forces who are “making the real sacrifices” on our behalf.

Well, no shit. Does Kristol really think they don’t know that? It’s their brothers, their sisters, their husbands, their wives, their friends. Their contemporaries. I rather doubt anyone else in the entire country is more acutely aware of the sacrifices they’re making.

Here’s what’s eating Kristol: those young people who support Obama are EXACTLY the ones we’ve been waiting for. And if he wants to see John “100 Years in Iraq” McCain in the Whitehouse come January, he better hope they stay home come November.

Yes. Family is off limits no matter how much the candidate uses them.

Not sure. It seems that we're supposed to consider family and other personal aspects--even if they don't impact policy.
