Ron Paul: My New Sweetheart

Lalita Amos | 04/22/2008 - 12:16

This election cycle has been a treat for the mind and the senses. We've seen cable news use social networking to pose tough questions (OK, sometimes from snowmen) to candidates.

Then, there's Mike Gravel who gave us an ontological feast that left us pondering life's core questions: Are we the rock, plunging unhelped into the pond of debt, war and doubt? Are we the pond, able to envelop all assaults, dispersing and reducing those impacts until our countenance is again unperturbed? Is Paula Abdul really as off-her-ass drunk as she appears?

Oh! Oh! And then there's this from Camp Paul (H/T to Masson's Blog). It has a definite "step out of the Matrix" sensibility to it. Sorry, Ron. We all took the blue pill and crawled back into our pods.

Certainly, this pri-caucu-mary has lead us places no one could have suspected and given us an improbable trio of candidates at this point: the Black dude, the white chick and the old, white guy.

I'm as happy as a cat hittin' the nip.

Ray Miller | 04/22/2008 - 12:46 |  No Longer A choice between lesser evils.........well mostly

It has been so long that I have had to hold my nose and vote for the lesser of two evils it is a pleasure to actually be FOR some one.

As long as Barack Obama is the Democratic candidate I will have a candidate to vote FOR.

If the Democratic "leadership" takes the insane action of handing the nomination to Hillary it will again be the lesser of two evils.

With Hillary I just hope some one will throw a bucket of water on her and WAKE HER UP that it is NOT about her. With McCain I just wish some one will let him know we are now in the 21st Century.

I may just vote for Ron Paul. In 1992 I voted for Ross Perot for nothing else that I strongly believed that what he said was right and in fact I think he has been proven right.

Let's just hope for HOPE................

Poll
Is the focus on Palin's family over the top?
No. By pitching her family values as chief amongst her qualifications, she asked for it.
67%
Yes. Family is off limits no matter how much the candidate use them.
33%
Not sure. It seems that we're supposed to consider family and other personal aspects--even if they don't impact policy.
