Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe (1749–1832), German poet and dramatist said: "That which matters most must never be at the mercy of that which matters least." Applied to this election and the Clinton Spin Machine which I think is stuck just before the rinse cycle (OK, so I'm writing this while my floor dries from being christened by my newly busted washer), I think Goethe would have posited "Those states which matter most must never be at the mercy of those states that matter least)."
