Breaking his long silence, Senator John Edwards made a surprise appearance with Senator Obama, where he announced his endorsement of the Junior Senator from Illinois.

This endorsement, which comes not from a Super Delegate, but a former candidate who also has the ear of those Hillary Democrats who showed up in force in West Virginia, can help Senator Obama solidify this piece of the Democratic base.

Pundits are in a lather.

Wash. Rinse. Repeat.
