Why are the Democrats, with their majority, giving George Bush what he wants in terms of federal wiretapping? (See today’s NY Times.) And why are they letting off the hook the telecommunication companies who participated?
I generally don't find myself in agreement with George Will about much, but this morning, he weighed in on the John McCain response to the habeas corpus ruling, and it got it absolutely right.
Per Ed Brayton, we get an absolutely unbelievable quote from John McCain. If anything, Ed is much too kind...this is really unforgivable.
